Hi all

Even though this pertains to TV, I decided to ask this question here in the hopes that more people would see it. I just found out that the four major networks are now broadcasting a few shows with audio description. I have no idea how to access this description when watching one of the shows. I called Time Warner, and the tech support person I talked to has never even heard of audio description. Does anyone know if I have to have a special piece of equipment or if there is a setting on the cable box or something you do with the remote control to access the audio description? I'd appreciate any help or suggestions of how to find out more.

Well, I didn't get an answer here, but I thought I'd update anyone interested in what I have found out. Apparently Time Warner would send out a technician to do something to my TV to allow me to access the audio description for the few programs where this is offered. However, I have a very old TV that belonged to my mother before she died. After an online chat on the Time Warner Cable website (the idiots in telephone customer service don't know anything) I found out that I need a new flat screen TV for this to work. So, when I win the lottery, I'll buy a new TV and enjoy audio description.
